About Lift Spare Parts (LSP)

Hey there! I'm John, and I created the Lift Spare Parts (LSP) application to solve a problem I know all too well, tracking down part numbers. Having spent over two decades as a route mechanic since joining Otis in March 2000, I know firsthand how time-consuming searching for replacement parts can be. Before the LSP app, if I didn't have a spare part in my vehicle, I'd find myself thumbing through binders of leaflets or heading back to the office to shuffle through old job files and vendor catalogs.

Determined to find a better way, I set out to build a solution. In late 2018, I launched my first application called Otis Spare Parts. This user-friendly tool simplified the process of finding the correct parts needed to maintain the equipment I was working on. What started as a personal project has been used by field and office personnel in countries all over the world. The Lift Spare Parts app carries forward the practical, field-tested design of the original Otis Spare Parts app and will continue to quickly deliver results and keep the public moving.
